- An American Express gift card is different from an American Express credit or charge card. Only prepaid gift cards can be sold here. Never send details of a credit card.

Where to find your American Express gift card code
Where it is
An American Express gift card shows a long card number on the front, along with the expiration date. A four-digit security code is printed on the front of the card as well, usually above the card number on the right side. Some versions also print details on the back. Cards bought in a store come in a sleeve with activation information, so keep it with your receipt. Digital Amex gift cards show these details in the delivery email or on the linked page.
What it looks like
You will need the full card number, the expiration month and year, and the four-digit security code from the front. American Express gift cards do not have a scratch-off PIN. The bot asks for each part one at a time.

Checking your American Express balance
Check the balance on the official American Express gift card website or by calling the number printed on the back of the card. Checking does not spend the card.
