Before you sell
- The card is unused, or you know exactly how much is left on it.
- The card is yours. You bought it yourself or got it as a gift.
- You have the full code, and the PIN if the card has one.
- You still have the receipt, if you got one. Keep it until you are paid.
- If you added the card to the Target app or Target Wallet, remove it there first so the balance cannot be used at checkout after you sell it.

Where it is
On a physical Target GiftCard, the card number is printed on the back, and an access number is hidden under a scratch-off strip. Scratch gently so every digit is readable. A Target eGiftCard sent by email shows the card number and access number in the email, or on the page the email links to. Some Target cards are given as a printed receipt for returns, and the numbers will be on that receipt.
What it looks like
A Target GiftCard has a card number made of digits and a separate access number, also digits, from the scratch-off area. Both are needed. The bot will ask for each one in turn, so keep them separate and copy them carefully.
